The Strategy Team

The Strategy Team is made up of lots of clever marketing folk including strategists, planners, copywriters, insight analysts and campaign managers.

A central function of specialists who are brought in to work on client briefs with the client service and creative teams as required to smash client briefs.

The Role

We’re now looking for an ambitious leader to take our strategy function to the next level. We need someone with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset who is always thinking big picture and will challenge a brief to get the best outcome for our clients. The Strategy Director will lead proposal and pitch responses and build C-Level relationships uncovering opportunities for organic growth and success with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management
- Consulting with our clients: helping them problem solve and identifying opportunities for success
- Building trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders to enable agency growth

Lead The Strategic Conversation
- Supercharge our strategic proposition for clients with ABM, digital and media programme methodology
- Engaging with clients and prospects on trends and opportunities through meetings, webinars, and events
- Take a data and insight driven approach to align our solutions with the agency’s skill sets and clients objectives
- Work hand in hand with the Creative Director to enhance our creative response to all work

Team Management
- To develop a high-performing efficient Strategy Team. Installing the right culture and ethos to achieve success both for the agency and our clients
- High levels of team retention and satisfaction by establishing clear development plans, managing performance issues and identify talent opportunities to help clients solve business issues
- Foster a team and project environment across the whole agency
- Own the team’s skills, resource, and capacity planning to ensure client delivery and profitability

Business Development
- The client facing strategic lead for new business opportunities along with the pitch team to make sure our responses to proposals are compelling to clients and prospects
- A marketing evangelist, passionate about finding solutions and presenting them to clients and prospects
- Attend appropriate industry events to gain insight to trends

What you will bring

Minimum 8 years professional experience working on digital projects within an agency environment
A track record of devising and delivering ABM, demand and revenue generation programmes
Extensive knowledge of B2B Tech
Ability to build senior relationships
Passion for your craft and an advocate for the customers perspective
A collaborative approach that brings out the best in others
Commercial acumen to drive agency growth and profitability
